Why did AutoHDR merge two different photos together?

Two angles that looked visually similar got grouped and edited together. The fix is to upload the input brackets for each angle as separate shoots so they're processed individually.

Take the input brackets for each of the two angles and upload them as separate shoots. They'll be grouped properly and edited individually.

Prevent future merges

Make sure each angle in your shoot is clearly distinct, or upload similar angles as separate shoots from the start. The AI groups by visual similarity, not timestamp.
