Virtual staging is changing my floor or wall finishes — how do I prevent that?

When staging a small room, the AI sometimes has to regenerate a portion of the floor or walls to make furniture placement look natural — this is expected behavior, not an error.

If finishes shouldn't change

Use the Regenerate button (free) to get a different result. Most variations will keep finishes intact.

If you need the original floor preserved precisely
