Will I get better photos if I shoot JPEG instead of RAW?

JPEG is actually our top recommendation — the AI model was trained on JPEG inputs, so there's zero quality difference vs RAW. You get the same edit quality with smaller files, faster uploads, and faster processing.

One caveat for wide-angle shooters

AutoHDR applies lens distortion correction automatically to RAW uploads, but not to JPEGs. If you shoot JPEG, make sure your camera's in-body lens correction is on, or that "Apply Lens Profile" is enabled in your Lightroom or Capture One export preset. Most modern cameras default this on — worth confirming on wide lenses where the difference is most visible.

When RAW makes sense

Shoot RAW if you want AutoHDR to handle lens correction automatically, or if you're doing your own post-processing on the originals outside of AutoHDR. For most real-estate workflows — JPEG all the way.
