Does AutoHDR apply lens corrections to RAW files?

Yes for RAW, no for JPEG. AutoHDR applies full lens corrections during RAW-to-JPEG conversion, but JPEG uploads need to have lens correction already applied before upload.

RAW files (.dng, .cr2, .nef, .arw, etc.)

We apply full lens corrections during the RAW-to-JPEG conversion step, including distortion and vignetting. We use RawTherapee with Lensfun profiles, and we also detect and respect any embedded lens-correction metadata (e.g., from Adobe DNG Converter). For most popular real estate lenses, this happens automatically without any action on your part.

JPEG files

We don't apply lens correction to JPEGs. The pipeline assumes your camera or your RAW converter already applied it before you exported the JPEG.

• If you're shooting JPEG straight out of camera, make sure your camera's in-body lens correction is turned on.
• If you're exporting JPEG from Lightroom or Capture One, make sure lens correction is enabled in your export profile.

Which should I upload?

If you want lens correction handled for you, upload RAW. If you're already happy with your JPEG workflow and just want HDR plus edits, JPEG works great too — just verify your distortion is corrected before upload.
