Why are my Dropbox uploads failing or not being received?

Dropbox upload failures usually come down to one of three things: a slow or throttled network, very large file sizes, or Dropbox sync lag delaying when AutoHDR sees the files.

Common causes

  • Slow or throttled Wi-Fi. Some ISPs throttle uploads to certain storage providers. Try a different network or hotspot.
  • Large file sizes. Very large RAW files (especially multi-bracket sets) take longer and are more likely to time out on slow connections. Converting to JPEG before upload is faster and produces the same edited quality.
  • Dropbox sync lag. If you're uploading to Dropbox itself on a slow connection, give it extra time to fully sync before AutoHDR's 20-minute window starts counting.
