Why am I getting a 'Could not compute file hashes' error?

The "Could not compute file hashes" error is a browser-side issue that happens before upload begins — your browser couldn't successfully read and process one of the files in your batch. A single file failing breaks the whole batch, even if the others would have uploaded fine.

Things to try

• Refresh the page and try again. Memory pressure in the browser causes this often, and a clean reload usually clears it.
• Try a smaller batch. Upload 10–20 files at a time instead of the full shoot. This isolates which file is causing the issue. Once you find the problem file, you can replace or skip it.
• Check the problem file. Open it in your camera software, Lightroom, or Photos — if it doesn't open cleanly, the file is corrupted. Re-export it from your source or replace it.
• Try a different browser or incognito mode to rule out a browser extension or cache issue.
