Why auto white balance works best

Auto WB lets the AI start from a clean, scene-appropriate color reference. Fixed WB presets (Cloudy, Shade, Tungsten) can bake in a color cast that's harder to correct after the fact.

One additional tip: shoot mid → dark → bright

Many cameras lock white balance to the first frame of an auto-bracket sequence. Leading with the middle (most neutrally exposed) shot typically gives the AI the most accurate color reference for the whole set.

The most common cause of off colors
