Should I upload 3 or 5 brackets?

For most shoots, 3 brackets at ±2 EV is all you need. 5 brackets is worth considering in very bright or sunny markets where 3 brackets sometimes still isn't dark enough to see clearly out of windows.

When 3 brackets is enough

3 brackets at ±2 EV gives the AI a dark enough exposure to pull in window views and a bright enough one to recover shadows — that covers the vast majority of interior and exterior shots.

When to shoot 5

5 brackets helps in very bright or sunny markets (Florida, California, desert climates) where 3 brackets sometimes aren't dark enough to see clearly out of windows. The extra exposures give the AI more data to work with in high-contrast situations.

Rule of thumb

Start with 3. If your window views aren't coming through the way you want, try 5.
